Kollywood film ‘Dhruvangal Pathinaaru’ is releasing today as ‘16’ in Telugu to entertain movie lovers. Let us see what impact it made on viewers.

Story Line

Retired police officer Deepak (Rahman) was drawn into conversation with young man (Ashwin Kumar), son of constable Rajaiah who wish to join the police force. Deepak, honest officer in order to highlight the pressures of police force, talks about the case of a psycho killer.

It all starts with two parallel cases ,one hit and run case involving rich and affluent youngsters Manu, Praveen and Madan and the another one involving the missing girl Shruti right from her apartment.

Where Deepak and his newly joined subordinate Gautam  (Prakash Raghavan) investigation leads to the real motive behind the scenes should be enjoyed on silver screen.

Star Shine

Rahman attracted as a sincere and honest cop. He showed various expressions with different emotions. Dubbing of singer Hema Chandra made good impact. Vijay Raghavan complimented him well in the film.  Kunal Kaushik, Anjana Jayaprakash, Yashika Anand performed according to their characters.


Director Karthik Naresn surprises with his story, screen-play and direction on his debut film. Plot unfolds in an interesting manner in the first half and interest increases with twist after twist before ending with an interesting interval bang. Second half follows the similar trend and but loses plot in between.

However after the momentary loss of plot, Karthik is back by increasing interest ahead of the climax and pre-climax. Dialogues are good and film attracts with its thrilling elements. Film at times however confused lot but overall the film attracts movie lovers with the suspense element.


Background score of Jakes Bejoy took the film to another level. Sujith’s cinematography is attractive and camera angles gave new feel to viewers. Sreejith’s editing is good but could have edited few drags. Production values are good.
