Kamal Haasan’s Stalled Film Back on Track

The second part of Universal Hero Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam, Vishwaroopam-2 has completed most of its shoot couple of years ago. However, the movie release is put on hold as Aascar Ravichandran who holds the movie rights, plunged in to deep financial crisis after the disaster result of Shankar and Vikram’s I.
Kamal moved on from the project and had three releases after that – Uttama Villain, Papanasanam, and Cheekati Rajyam. He also began the shooting of his other film, Sabash Naidu and stalled it due to an injury. Aascar Ravichandran wants to revive Vishwaroopam-2 and wants to complete the balance work of the film. We are told that the dubbing and other post-production works of the film began in Chennai and will go non-stop till completion.
If things go as per plan, Aascar Ravichandran wants to release the film later this year. Pooja Kumar, who was also seen in Kamal’s Uttama Villain, will be seen romancing Kamal in the film. The film has an ensemble cast consisting veteran actors like Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapoor. Bollywood music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed music for the film. Once the post-production works are complete, the makers will announce their release plan and begin their promotions.
