Former child artiste turned hero-ine, Shalini who mesmerized the youth with the film “Sakhi” and later on she married to a Tamil Super Star Ajith, settled as a Happy Home Maker, but now she proved herself as a Badminton player. We all knew that Tamil Super Star Ajith is a keen follower and participant of motor car and bike races. And looks like his wife Shalini is following his footsteps. She recently participated in the Tamil Nadu State Level Badminton tournament which was held on August 19th2012 in Trichy. She had been on the headlines, credit to her perseverance and dedication to the game she fondly loves. Her motivation led her to a new high last Sunday (19.08.12) when she was seeded second both in the doubles and mixed doubles. Shalini bagged the runners up position in not just the Women’s doubles but also the Mixed doubles after her valiant and extraordinary effort with Priya and Prakash.

The top ranked players will clash in the State Level Badminton championships to be held in Nagercoil later this month and it has been attracting wide attention after Mrs. Shalini who was ranked in the top confirmed her participation. Her daughter Anushka was also present with her at the venue during the prize giving ceremony.
