Here is an exclusive chit chat with Vamsi Paidipally ( Brindavanam Director).
Myfirstshow : What is your back ground?
Vamsi : I was born and brought up in Hyderabad, I done my schooling in Hyderabad Public School (HPS), Begumpet, I did my intermediate in Little Flower Junior College, Uppal, and then I have done my B com and MCA from Badruka College of Commerce and Arts, Kachiguda. After completion of MCA I started my career as software Professional and with in few days of time I decide that it’s not my cup of tea, because i had a great passion towards films. So, I entered into film industry as Assistant director and now, my dream is fullfilled, with directing this great movie.
Myfirstshow : Tell us about your film Journey?
Vamsi : My film journey is almost like a ‘Cinema Paradise’ because just 3months before of my birth, my Dad bought a theatre in Thanapur in the district of Adilabad, where I think I had always synod of cinemas then itself because theatre was some thing very close to my heart and I have grown up in Cinema atmosphere. I spent my most of the holidays in that theatre and I think there itself my passion started. Well, after my MCA I got a job in software field, but within a few days I left it I started my career as assistant director in 2002.
I started my career as an Assistant director with Prabhas’s “Eeshwar” in 2002 under direction of Jayant C.Pranjee, Second film again with Prabhas “Varsham” in 2004 under the direction of Sobhan Babu in MS.Raju production, Third with King Narajuna’s “Mass” in 2004 under the association of Lawrence, Fourth with Ravi Teja’s “Badra” in 2005 under director Boyapati Srinu in Dil Raju Production. Later on after one year gap I became as a director with Prabhas “Munna” in 2007 under Dil Raju’s banner and after one and half year gap I narrated a story to NTR, he accepted it in first sitting to do “Brindavanam” and it is going to release tomorrow.
Finally I started my career as an assistant director in 2002 with “Eeshwar” and then I became as director in 2006 with “Munna”.
Myfirstshow : Could you tell us about your “Brindavanam”?
Vamsi : As the title “Brindavanam” is a synonym of happiness, this movie is full of happiness, positivity energy, Joyful, etc., “Brindavanam” is the place where Lord Krishna meets Radha and it was the place where Radha lived. But, it has nothing to do with that sought of line, actually Our “Brindavanam” is a happy place has a tag line of ‘Govindhudu Andhari Vadela” where “Govindhudu” refers to our NTR and he belongs to every one. If I want to tell about “Brindavanam” in a word its “Life” where we all can see all emotions like Happy, Sad, etc., We all are confident that every audien can feel all kind of emotions by watching “Brindavanam”.
Myfirstshow : Till now you have chosen only big heroes in your movies, do you want work only with big heroes ?
Vamsi : Silence… I don't want to say any thing about it, but sofar, I did only two movies, this “Brindavanam” is my second movie and choosing of heroes has happened so so.. as the script demands for it. If we think small hero are suitable for the script i will utilize the services of small heroes. One thing which director doesn’t want to work with Big heroes? We all here to direct big only, I don’t know where the destiny will take me because I didn’t think. When I started of my career I came with passion, I don’t know that I would be a director, in my view being director is a second thing working hard to reach a goal is the primary thing, that’s why I did “Munna” and after that my passion and goal scrolled me towards “Brindavanam”. So, next I don’t known what is left in my destiny and where my destiny takes I will go there.
Myfirstshow : You did your first film “Munna” under Dil Raju’s production and you continue your second film in his productions only. Any reasons behind that?
Vamsi : No secrets behind that , this is not like plan, Dil Raju is a man who like quality cinema and there are few producers in the industry who actually love to do quality films. I think for a director they must be a good producer to give freedom for his idea. Dil Raju is such kind of a person who wants to produce any thing which director want without convincing with budget. The amount of confidence he has vested on me for this film is amazing and the freedom he gave me in making the film, in making music and freedom in making everything else was amusing. He supported me in every aspect and he didn’t convince to select the senior artistes where the actual script requires. I am lucky have a wonderful producers like Dil Raju, Sireesh and Lakhman.
Myfirstshow : Do you want to do your next film (third film) under Dil rajus’ banner?
Vamsi : I wish but, this question you need to ask Dil Raju, that I can’t say. If there is a chance I will definitely go with it.
Myfirstshow : What are your future plans?
Vamsi : Currently, I am thinking about “Brindavanam, Brindavanam, Brindavanam..”. I don’t want to think about future. As I told you Next is always a question mark, I think we don’t have a answer for that, what next is always what next. After release of “Brindavanam” I will think.
