A couple of days back, there was a rumour that Young Tiger NTR will be giving voiceover for Rana’s Telugu and Hindi bilingual movie, ‘Ghazi’. The rumour also said Amitabh Bachchan will lend voice for the Hindi version. The trailers of the both versions are released today. Amitabh’s voice is very much in the Hindi version but then there is no NTR voice in the Telugu trailer. It is not clear yet if NTR voiceover news is fake or the makers wanted to keep it as a surprise.
‘Ghazi’ is based on the true incidents on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistan submarine during the Indo-Pak 1971 war. The submarine came in the eastern shores of India and it was sunk while Pakistan claims it got stuck in the fishing nets and there are multiple story angles to it. The submarine is still under water, it has a patriotic angle with a love story. The trailer of the film is very interesting.
We are told that the movie is getting readied in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. February 17th, 2017 is the tentative release date and it will be a simultaneous release for all the four versions on that day. Rana will be portraying the role of the commander of a Kalvari class diesel submarine of the Indian Navy.
The film is based on a novel named ‘The Blue Fish’. The author of that book, Sankalp Reddy, is making his debut as a director with this movie. It is said to be India’s first submarine film and will happen mostly under water. Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kalkarani are seen in important roles. The crew includes – Editing by Srikar Prasad and Cinematography by Madhie. PVP Cinemas is producing the film and it will mark their Bollywood debut. Karan Johar bagged the Hindi Rights of the film. Rana is currently shooting for his next ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ (Tentative Title) with director Teja.
