Posani played the villian.
While all this may be true Narayana Murthy’s Peoples War lost its war with Censor board. The board members twisted the hands of Narayanamurthy so much so that he had to agree to all the suggestions of the board members. He was asked not to mention the word of Sompet in his film and was forced to change the name as ‘someswarapeta’. Similarly they asked him to include a disclaimer at the start and end of the film saying “This film is a work of fiction and does not refer to real life characters or incidents. Any resemblance is a co-incidence. “The board members also told Narayana Murthy that there should not be any references to GO Nos. 1107 and 1108, concerning the Sompeta project. Last but not the least to the utter shock of Murthy, Censor Board awarded U/A to the film.
