2.0 Makers Respond on Postponement Rumours

Rumours are rife that Superstar Rajinikanth and Sensational Director Shankar’s 2.0 may be postponed to Summer 2018. The movie is being planned for January 25th, 2018 as Republic Day Special but may now release on April 13th according to the rumor mills. Aiding those speculations, Akshay Kumar’s Padman is releasing on 26th January. The makers who are silent about the postponement until now have finally responded to them.

Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca Productions responded to the ongoing rumors in media. He asserted that there is no change in the release date as of now and added that the team is working hard to wrap up the post-production activities. So, the rumors about the possible postponement can be put to rest for now.

The movie shooting is almost complete and the post-production works are going on at a brisk pace. Two Songs of the three songs album was unveiled at a glittery event in Dubai earlier this week. Elaborate promotional plans are on across the length and breadth of the country. The movie budget has crossed more than 400 Crore and is costliest in Indian Cinema. This is the first time British Beauty Amy Jackson is romancing the Superstar. Oscar Awardee AR Rahman is composing music for the film. He scored music for Robot as well. Buzz is that Rajinikanth will be seen in a Triple role in the film even though it is not officially confirmed.
