Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is one of the most prestigious projects that will be releasing next year. Koratala Siva is the director of the movie while Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy produce the film. After the first motion poster was released on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the Megastar’s upcoming film Acharya landed into trouble. One writer cum director named Rajesh Manduri has come out in the media, alleging that the story of Acharya is lifted from a story he narrated to Mythri Movie Makers.
Responding to the controversy, the makers of Acharya have released a press statement where they have come clean on this issue. The statement read, “We have kept the story of the film confidential and only a few people are aware of what it is all about. We would like to clarify that this is an original story. It is unacceptable to defame a reputed filmmaker like Koratala Siva. Any claims with respect to the story are completely baseless, false, and are made solely on assumption.”
Starring Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, Acharya will resume soon after the coronavirus pandemic comes down and the normalcy returns.
