Alphonsa committed suicide on police fear

Vamp girl Alphonsa who scaled the popularity chart for her sensuous folk song, Ra Ra Ramaiah with superstar, Rajinikanth in Baasha, attempted suicide after finding her beau Vinod Kumar hanging from the fan at her apartment at Saligramam.Apparently, the voluptuous actress consumed excess sleeping pills but was saved by doctors at a private hospital in Vadapalani.According to sources, Alphonsa, who is reportedly married, was living in with Vinod Kumar, 25, from Kalpakkam. Both were staying at her plush apartment. Close aides informed that Alphonsa was back in the city on Sunday night after attending a star-night show in Dubai.“For some reason Vinod and Alphonsa were quarreling the whole night and their bedroom lights were on till the wee hours on Monday morning,” says a source. However, when she woke up, she found Vinod hanging from the ceiling. The actress immediately informed the Virugambakkam Police who sent the body to the Government Royepettah Hospital for a postmortem examination. Though the actress is said to have attempted suicide as she was unable to bear the anguish of her boyfriend’s death, the Virugambakkam Police has a different story to tell.“Vinod Kumar’s relatives say that Alphonsa and her family murdered Vinod and are trying to make it look like suicide. In a complaint, Vinod’s uncle has urged the cops to take action. Alphonsa swallowed some sleeping pills fearing arrest,” the police say.Alphonsa was a sought-after item girl and with the start of the soft porn wave in Mollywood, she hit the jackpot with a porn flick, Paruva Mazhai. This is not the first time the actress has attempted suicide. A few years back when her relationship with Sager, her co-star in a soft-porn movie and a married man ended, she consumed a lot of sleeping pills but was saved by doctors from the same hospital where she is being treated now. Alphonsa’s brother, Robert, is a popular K’town choreographer.
