Amir Khan’s “Peepli Live” nominated for Oscar

Amir Khan’s own production venture “Peepli Live” was nominated for 2011 Oscar awards under best foreign film category. Criticizing media for spreading unnecessary rumors is the main concept in this film. After considering 27 entries ‘Film Fedaration’ selected “Peepli Live” movie on Friday for Oscar nominations and President of the Federation, L.Suresh announced it officially in a press meet which was held at South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce in Chennai. He said that this movie was selected because it possesses all standards to win Oscar. 

President of awards committee, Director KS.Sethumadhavan and other committee members like CG.Rajendra babu, S.Krishna swami, Ravi Katragadda, AR.Raju, JayaRaj, Ashok patel, SK.Srivathsav, G.Neelakantha Reddy took part in this press meet. 

Omkar das, Manipuri, Mallikashanai played the lead roles in “Peepli Live” movie. Story written and directed by Anusha Rijvi. Producer Amir Khan felt very happy for nominating his film for Oscar awards.
