Baahubali-2 Shortened for Chinese Audience

SS Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus film, Baahubali – The Conclusion is finally releasing in China on May 4th. Telugu audience has pinned a lot of hopes on this through the first part was a dud in China. The Chinese market has increased by leaps and bounds in the last one year or so. We have seen films like Dangal, Secret Superstar, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan making big money there. The release is delayed there since the Chinese Government only allow limited foreign films to release in their country per year. The makers finally managed to obtain the necessary permissions.
On the other side, the Chinese version of the film is trimmed by 27 minutes to suit the taste of the audience there. It is not known if they have totally trimmed the songs from the film. We can know that only after the movie release there. Only if it performs strongly in China, Baahubali-2 can beat the record of Dangal’s lifetime collections of 1950 Crore. Baahubali-2 now stands at the lifetime gross of Rs 1600 Crores. If it works with the audience there, it should not be very difficult. The movie will be released by E Stars Media, which also handled Baahubali: The Beginning release in China back then.
