After the super success of Nithiin starrer Bheeshma, producer Surya Devara Naga Vamsi of Sithara entertainments banner was on cloud nine. He also had some of the most promising projects like Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh starrer Rang De on floors and some great films as his lineup in the coming months and then the corona happened which made everything go for a toss.
Reportedly, the production team owned a story worth 30 lakhs that stars Nani as the lead in ‘Shyam Singha Roy’. Also, the Telugu remake rights of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum were owned at 50 lakhs which is being planned with Raviteja and Rana Daggubati. Apparently, the producer paid some advance to the young director Sagar K Chandra to helm the remake. all these projects are in the pre-production stage and Surya Devara’s funds have been blocked.
Another project starring Naga Shourya in the lead has also been postponed, which was being helmed by the debutante female director, Lakshmi Sowjanya. It was launched in 2019 but since then there has been no news about its progress.
Due to the blockage of funds, reportedly the producer seems to be in huge financial stress.
