Nowadays Digital streaming giants like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Jio, Zee5, and Hotstar turned as a nightmare for distributors. As these Digital streaming giants are airing the newly released films after three to four weeks of the theatrical release, it is denting the collections. Audience preferring to watch the movie rather than in theaters due to this, filmmakers as well as the distributors are losing huge sums due to this.
The Telugu Film Producers Council entered into the scene and imposed a strict rule. As per the rule, the film should stream only after eight weeks of the theatrical release. This rule will be implemented from April 1st. Let us wait and see will it impact on the price which Digital streaming giants are shelling for rights.
