In India, there was a huge demand for the medicines which are being used for COVID-19 patients. To cash on demand, some groups of people are black-marketing medicines used for the treatment of coronavirus. Hyderabad police has busted an interstate gang who are black-marketing generic versions of Remdesivir, Actemra, and Fabiflu medicines, which are being used for COVID-19 patients.
The Hyderabad police have seized 35 lakhs worth medicines and eight mobile phones. Eight people were taken into custody for black-marketing medicines. Cops seized 51 Remdesivir (100 mg) injections, nine Actemra (400 mg) injections and four Actemra (80 mg) injections. The main accused, Venkata Subramanyam, was allegedly purchasing the drugs from Hetero Company. Cops have started the investigation, and further details will be revealed soon.
