Sanjana Reddy, a protege of Ram Gopal Varma is making her directorial debut with Raj Tharun’s Raju Gadu which releases on June 1st. The young director is aggressively promoting the film across the media and in an interview, she narrated about her association with Ramu and how she became a director.
“I was very much impressed with the classics of Ram Gopal Varma and Mani Ratnam like many. I have approached him when I learned that he is looking for a Lady Assistant Director. Mohan Babu used to called me ‘Rowdy Sanjana’ while shooting for Rowdy,” she said. Raju Gadu will take on King Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer. The movie will have holiday advantage in Nizam on June 2nd due to Telangana Formation Day. The hero will be seen as a ‘kleptomaniac’ in the movie. Kleptomaniacs are attracted to shiny stuff and cannot resist grabbing them whenever they get the chance. It has to be seen if Sanjana Reddy will be successful as a director in this male-dominated industry. Telugu Film Industry has very few lady directors and among them, there are rarely any successful ones. She will be taking on her Guru (Ram Gopal Varma) at the Box Office on June 1st.
