Director Trouble for That is Mahalakshmi?

The Telugu version of Queen Remake, That is Mahalakshmi is facing many hurdles since the time of start. Initially, National Award-winning director Neelakanta had started the film but the makers had to replace him as Tamannah didn’t want to work with him and stopped shooting for the film for the six months. Later, Awe fame Prasanth Varma took it over and finally, the movie shooting is now complete. The makers have released a Press Note on this occasion and interestingly, there is no mention of the director’s name. That gives rise to new doubts if all is well within the team.

Queen is being remade in Tamil with Kajal Agarwal, in Malayalam with Manjima and in Kannada Parul Yadav is the lead. One Producer is bankrolling all these versions and wants to release them on the same day and so Tamannah has to work really hard to complete the film on time. Queen is the story of a young Punjabi girl, played by Kangana Ranaut, who embarks on her honeymoon to Paris after her fiance calls off her wedding. Kangana Ranaut even went on to win a National Award for the role she played in the film. The makers will announce the release date only after the shooting is complete.
