Excise Enforcement Department Special Investigation Team (SIT) showed the real suspense thriller picture to Tollywood industry with the ongoing interrogation of Film Celebrities link-up’s with high-end drug racket busted in July. The investigation real film which was kick started on July 19th with ace director Puri Jagannath is came to climax sequence on Today.
All 12 celebrities who received the notices from SIT officials, appeared before officials on their respective allotted day. During the investigation into the drug racket that was busted on July 2, names of many members of the Telugu film industry had cropped up, the SIT had said. Since July 19, the SIT has questioned filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, actors P Subba Raju, Tarun Kumar, P Navdeep and Ravi Teja, art director Dharma Rao alias Chinna, and actresses Charmi Kaur and Mumaith Khan. Yesterday, Tanish Alladi was questioned by the SIT sleuths for four hours.
Today, its turn for Young hero Ananda Krishna alias Nandu, he appeared in SIT at morning 10 AM and SIT officials started grilling the actors in links with Drugs peddlers. According to reports, “Nandu reached Abkari Bhavan, the office of the Prohibition and Excise Department, at 10 a.m., and the questioning started 30 minutes later. A four-member team questioned him about allegations that he takes drugs and also has links with peddlers arrested in the case.”
Nandu began his film career in 2007 with “100% love” in which he played a character called Ajith, a role liked by the film buffs. He also acted in Ram Gopal Varma’s movies “Ice Cream 2” and “365 days”. Nandu is married to popular singer Geetha Madhuri.
After his name first cropped up in the case, Nandu had uploaded a video on Facebook, denying that he consumes drugs or has links with peddlers. He is one who came voluntarily to live TV channel programs and said that he is innocent and he can do anything to prove his innocence. In mean while buzzes are spreading wide as SIT officials will likely call more Tollywood personalities for questioning. Watch this space for more updates.
