Eesha Rebba's Ragala 24 Gantallo Movie Review

Movie : Ragala 24 Gantallo

Rating : 2.25/5

Director: Sreenivasa Reddy

Behind Screens

Telugu Girl, Eesha Rebba is trying her level best to settle in Tollywood. She has teamed up with Satyadev in the direction of Damarukham fame Srinivas Reddy for a thriller film, Raagala 24 Gantallo. The movie has hit the screens today. Let us see how the audience receives the film:

Story:

Rahul (Satyadev), a star photographer falls in love with Vidhya (Eesha Rebba), an orphan. He is so possessive of her that he could not digest her closeness to her friend Ganesh (Ganesh Venkatraman). He turns a Psycho and starts torturing her. One fine day, in a heated argument between the trio, Rahul is get killed and the rest is all about his revenge after turning a ghost.

Performances:

Satyadev already established himself as a good prospect for Tollywood in the future. He excelled in the negative role of sadistic nature. His combination scenes with Eesha Rebba are very good. Eesha Rebba gets a character with substance and she shined in it. Ganesh Venkatraman, Muskan Sethi, and Sriram are okay while Ravi Varma is good in a little role.

Technical:

Srinivas Reddy had picked up a routine thriller for his comeback. He did an average job right from the script to the execution. He should have experimented a bit and take a risk to make the thriller more appealing. The camera work is good and suits the mood of the story. The background score is impressive. Production Values are okay and most of the film happens in a bungalow. Editing should have been better.

Analysis:

The major complaint about Raagala 24 Gantallo is that there are no major twists and turns which engage the audience. The director tried to narrate the film in an engaging manner and is only partially succeeded. The climax also happens on expected lines with predictable twists. In fact, he tried to add several twists in the second half but they did not work out. The Flashback is also on expected lines. The first half of the film is okay while the second half is stuffed with several unnecessary scenes. Try the film only if you can not let go of any thriller.
