Entry’s open for 65 th National film awards

Finally, Entries are open for 65th Annual National Film Awards. The government has requested the candidates to apply for the awards which will be presented in three categories: feature films, non-feature films and best writing on cinema. Films made in any Indian language as well as silent films are eligible for entry. The film should be entered by its producer only or if it is a digital film then it should be entered by the copyright holder.

The envelope with the entries should be clearly super scribed with the awards category applied for, i.e., Entry for feature/Non-feature/Writing on cinema. For the Feature and Non-Feature Films sections, films in any Indian language, shot on 16 mm, 35 mm, a wider film gauge or a digital format, and released in cinemas, on video or digital formats for home viewing were eligible. Films were required to be certified as a feature film, a featured or a Documentary/Newsreel/Non-Fiction by the Central Board of Film Certification.
