Goodachari Movie Review

Movie: Goodachari

Rating: 3.0/5

Direction: Sashi Kiran Tikka

Behind the Screens:

Young Hero Adivi Sesh who is waiting for the first break of his career for a very long time has come up with Spy Thriller, Goodachari. It is a long time since Spy Thrillers have come in Telugu. Let us see how the movie releasing today fares with the audience.

Storyline:

Gopi (Adivi Sesh) aspires to become a Secret Agent like his father who expires at work. But Gopi’s uncle Satya (Prakash Raj) who is also a secret agent does not want him to become one after Gopi’s father death. Even though, he raises Gopi (changing name to Arjun) away from all this, the desire grows with him. Finally, he becomes one but unexpected incidents later lead to the nation seeing him as a Terrorist. How did that happen? What happens next? How Arjun erases the taint? forms the rest.

Star Shine:

Adivi Sesh is an apt fit to this kind of roles. He excelled in the role which is an epitome of honesty, patriotism and love for father. Jagapathi Babu is excellent and his character towards the climax is very important. Sobhitha Dhulipalla looked good but her role is very limited. She is almost missing in the second half. Vennela Kishore is a Surprise Package.

Technical:

Besides excelling as an actor, Adivi Sesh rocked as a writer. Some of the twists are mind-blowing. Director Sashi Kiran Tikka even though is making his debut with this film did a very decent job in making such film in a tight budget. Sri Charan Pakala’s Background score is very good. There is only one melody song in the film and it is okay. Action sequences are natural. Production Values are okay but the makers should have been more liberal with the monies.

Analysis:

Adivi Sesh is clearly inspired by some Hollywood films for this movie but then, it is often difficult even to make such films with so many budget constraints. Sesh came up with a gripping screenplay, suspense, and exciting twists. The love story should not have been there but it was wisely ended relating it to the secret mission. The Pre-Interval sequence is too good and the interval bang is good. The second half starts slow but picks pace with Jagapathi Babu’s entry. Bangladesh sequences are disappointing but the movie picks pace once again in the Pre-Climax and a good climax will mean the audience will come out satisfied. On a whole, Goodachari is a very good attempt despite the budget constraints.
