Creative director Goutham Menon whose love adventure ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ starring Prateik Babbar and Amie Jackson will be releasing in bollywood has set up four different climaxes for the film and left it for the movie lovers to choose the best to their liking. The film a remake of hit film ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ and its tollywood version ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ ends in two different ways. In Tamil version while Simbu and Trisha part ways, Telugu version sees a happy ending with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha. Apart from these two he has another two more endings for Hindi version and Theatre listings will reveal which ending will be played and the ticket – buying audience can choose accordingly.
Goutham says "No two men think alike! So when it came to catering to my core audience, I had to think differently each time. It was like three different directors working on the same story. The Tamil audience is more receptive to unusual endings. Thus we had a coming-of-age climax for that audience. The Telugu version had a feel-good climax because the audience there prefers happy endings." He adds, the climax of the Hindi version will warm the viewer’s hearts."That’s the beauty of “Ekk Deewana Tha”. The audience will relate to it because they have all experienced it at some point of their life. The climax is a Tamil-Telugu combo… very endearing," he laughs.
