Mega Prince Varun Tej’s Valmiki is all set for a grand release on 20th of this month. The movie is the official remake of Tamil super hit, Jigarthanda. Harish Shankar, the director of the film, however, mentions that he did not make many changes to the script. “When I remade Dabbang as Gabbar Singh, I had to make a lot of changes. But this time, I haven’t made too many changes. Jigarthanda is a beautiful script already. So, I have only made nativity-related changes,” Harish Shankar said in an interview.
Not making enough changes to a hit story means Harish played safe. Varun Tej’s getup has become one of the biggest selling points of the film. The Actor will be seen as a baddie who goes by the name, Gaddalakonda Ganesh. This is his first tryst with a negative character. The movie will have nominal competition from Suriya’s dubbing film, Bandobast which will release the same week. But Bandobast is not carrying any buzz.
