Siddharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary has got the clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie was given UA certificate with no cuts and the movie is all set for a grand release on 16th February. The makers have postponed the film by a week to avoid a clash with Akshay Kumar’s Padman. So, it will be solo release for both the movies now.
Ministry of Defence have apprehensions about the movie as it is about the corruption in Indian Army. They have asked for a Special Screening of the movie before the release. A screening of Aiyaary was held for the Ministry of Defence last week on the censor board’s instruction. The certificate was issued only after the ministry cleared the movie. With that, the makers are very relieved.
Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Plan C Studios, Aiyaary is a Friday Filmworks Productions. Set against the backdrop of the army, the film features Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee playing the roles of army officers over a storyline that brings to the forefront corruption within the system. Neeraj Pandey is popular for films like A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and others. Tollywood’s Sexy Damsel, Rakul Preet Singh is romancing Siddharth Malhotra in this movie and she has pinned high hopes on the film to make it big for her in Bollywood.
