Jaya Janaki Nayaka Review

Movie:    Jaya Janaki Nayaka

Rating:   3/5

Director: Boyapati Srinu

Behind the Screens

Bellamkonda Srinivas who bagged a cost failure with this first film, Alludu Seenu went on to bag a big disaster with Speedunnodu, the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster, Sundarapandian. The actor is teaming up with Star Director, Boyapati Srinu for a film, Jaya Janaki Nayaka which released today. Let us see how it fares with the audience.

Gagan (Bellamkonda Srinivas) is a happy family man who lives happily with his father Chakravarthy (Sarath Kumar) and Brother (Nandu). Gagan happens to meet Sweety (Rakul Preet Singh) and they fall in love. But Problems galore for her from Aswinth Narayan (Jagapathi Babu) when everything looks fine. What Gagan does to save her forms the rest of the story.

Star Shine:

Bellamkonda Srinivas has to go a long way to become a better actor. He is still struggling to emote properly and render dialogues. However, he excelled in action and dances. Rakul Preet Singh is seen in a role similar to her character in Sarainodu. Pragya Jaiswal is Super Hot. Jagapathi Babu is seen as a Stylish Villain. His introduction scenes are impressive. Sarath Kumar and Nandu are impressive. Vani Viswanath gets a disappointing role in her comeback film. Tarun Arora is good as a villain.

Jaya Janaki Nayaka is a normal love story in which hero does everything to save the heroine. Boyapati stuffed the story with his mark action sequences and emotions. All the action sequences and the scenes leading to them are well-written for the audience to connect. Hamsaladeevi action sequence, the pre-climax, and climax have Boyapati mark all over them. Finally, Jaya Janaki Nayaka emerges as a good mass masala entertainer. A better hero would have taken the film to next level.

Boyapati Srinu has made a film with his own strengths. Even though the story is routine, it is stuffed with the elements which are expected from the director. Boyapati should have used the twists and turns better. M Ratnam’s dialogues are effective. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score and Rishi Punjabi’s Camera work are very impressive. Veede Veede Song is too good. The item song is superb but wrongly placed. Editing is okay. Production Values are grand.

Movie Marks:

Boyapati Mark Mass Entertainer which may work in B and C centers.
