Popular Malayalam actor Jayaram is facing the wrath of animal activists. According to the sources, shocking reports emerged that hero Jayaram was allowed by Kerala Forest Department to keep a pair of tusks of his pet jumbo which died two years ago. Activists alleged that this action was illegal according to the provisions of the Declaration Wild life Stock Rule, 2003. Animal activists say in US laws were made to crush the elephant tusks to prevent black marketing. Activists added that Kerala state Forest Minister is allowing Jayaram keep elephant tusks. Activists wrote letter to PM Modi seeking his urgent intervention.
