It looks like this July was not fruitful to Telugu films. As per the trade and revenue calculations, the month of July has ended on a disastrous note for Tollywood. As per trade analysis except ‘RX 100’ all the films which were released in the month of July brought a huge loses to distributors and exhibitors.
RX 100 which starred newcomers Karthikeya and Payal Rajput was sold for Rs 2.75 Cr and it has collected nearly Rs 10.75 Cr. Gopichand’s ‘Pantham’ was in the second place. Although the film tanked near box office it has posted decent figures and recovered nearly 70 percent of distributor’s investment. Now all eyes were on the films which are releasing in August. Chi La Sow’, ‘Goodachari’, ‘Brand Babu’, ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’, ‘Vishwaroopam’, ‘Geetha Govindam’, ‘Narthanashala’ and ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’ are in the list. Let us Hope the August month will erase the bitter experiences and bring back smiles on Distributors faces.
