Super Star Rajinikanth’s forthcoming much excited and awaited film of the year, multi-lingual film ‘Kaala’ is all set to hit for a grand release on June 7th worldwide. The film is based on gangster based story where Rajini fans are eagerly waiting for its release from a long time.
In meanwhile the film is facing many hurdles before release. It is known that recently a Mumbai based journalist has accused Rajinikanth of portraying his late father, in a bad light to garner support among the affluent and upper-caste sections of society. He has apparently demanded a written apology from Rajinikanth. If failing which he threatens to file a defamation suit seeking Rs 101 crore as damages.
On another side, the film’s release in Karnataka looks doubtful. Several fringes Kannada political groups have been protesting against Rajini’s statement on Cauvery River water board formation. And now ‘Kaala’ release may be doubtful in Norway and Switzerland too where Tamil films has huge craze. Especially Rajini films will get good openings in Norway and Switzerland.
According to reports, Condemning Rajini’s controversial statement on the Tuticorin Sterlite protestors. The Norway Tamil film distribution association member Vaseegaran Sivalingam refused to screen Kaala in Norway. Saying that Tamils living there will not watch the movie due to Rajini’s statement. And several Tamil groups in Switzerland have been protesting against Rajini.
Based on current situations Kaala release may doubtful in Karnataka, Norway & Switzerland. If the film may not hit these areas, ‘Kaala’ will get fewer numbers in collection wise.
Recently the Telugu version of the film completed censor formalities and acquired ‘U/A’. The film has a huge positive talk in film Nagar circles. And hoping the Super Star Rajinikanth who is delivering flops from past few films will rock the box office with ‘Kaala’.
