Kamal Hassan who relented, finally gave in to the demands of theatre owners by postponing his much awaited and controversy ridden prestigious venture ‘Viswaroopam’ organised a press conference today afternoon to reveal the causes about his decision to postpone the film to later date. He made it clear that no one can pressurise him and he alone will decide the release date of the film which will be announced soon. Kamal said as the film belongs to him he has every right to ensure profits with business acumen. He said this time the film’s DTH screening and in theatres will be on the same date unlike the earlier one. Kamal also revealed that he had sent out legal notices to 13 individuals who threatened to misuse the DTH screening of his film. Kamal promised not to take any steps to threaten the existence of the film industry itself but said even the industry should support him. He asked his fans not to lose patience at this hour. The film stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jermiah along with Rahul Bose, Sekhar Kapur and music is scored by Shankar Eshan Loy. It is supposed to be the South Indias biggest budget movie.
