Katamarayudu first day revenue

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Katamarayudu’ had some sensational advance bookings before its release and everyone thought an All Time First Day Record is surely guaranteed. But then, it is not the case now.  Ordinary Talk and Reports have emerged from ‘Katamarayudu’ and Opening is good but not up to the Record Expectations. The movie has collected Rs.22.05 Crore Share on its release day which is the third biggest first day collections of all time.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Prestigious 150th film, ‘Khaidi No 150’ which holds the Current All Time Day 1 Record in AP and Nizam with Rs.23.24 Crore Distributor Share is safe for now. Probably until the release of ‘Baahubali’ – The Conclusion on April, 28th. It took 18 Months for any Telugu movie to break ‘Baahubali’ – The Beginning AP and Nizam Day 1 Record although Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and Junior NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ have been able to overtake ‘Baahubali’ – The Beginning Day 1 in a few Individual Telugu Areas. ‘Khaidi No 150’ may keep the record for a little over 3 Months. ‘Katamarayudu’, however, registered all time records in individual areas like Uttarandhra, East, Guntur and Nellore.

The movie had registered a Pre-Release Business of more than Rs.100 Crore even though the movie has a non-star director associated with it. That only proves Pawan Kalyan’s Stamina and his pull at the box office. Also, this comes after Pawan Kalyan delivering a massive disaster like Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Anything below Rs.70 Crore Worldwide Share will be termed as a flop. With this reports, it has to be seen how the movie performs over its full run and where it ends. Pawan Kalyan’s last film, ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ was a big disaster and brought huge losses to the buyers. Here is the break-up of ‘Katamarayudu’ First Day Collections:
