Manasuku Nachindi Review

Movie : Manasuku Nachindi
Rating: 2.25/5
Story, Screenplay, Direction: Manjula
Behind the Screens:
Young Hero Sundeep Kishan’s last film, Nakshatram had ended up as a huge disaster. His recent film, Project Z, a dubbing venture totally went unnoticed due to a controversy with the Telugu Producer. He is banking on his next, Manasuku Nachindi to be back in success. The film marks the directional debut of Mahesh Babu’s Daughter, Manjula. Let us see how the movie has fared with the audience.
Storyline:
Suraj (Sundeep Kishan) and Nithya (Amyra Dastur) are in-laws and their parents want to get them married since they are close to each other since their childhood. But then, right at the time of marriage, the flee to Goa leaving a letter ‘We will be Friends Always and will choose our Life Partners ourselves”. Rest of the story is all about what happens to them in Goa.
Star Shine:
We get a feeling that Sundeep Kishan is so underutilized in this movie. We feel he is going over-board especially in emotional scenes. Amyra Dastur has got more chance to perform while Tridha Choudary resorted to skin show in Bikini. Manjula’s daughter Jhanavi appeared in a little role. Somehow, except for Nassar, none of the supporting cast did justice to the roles they are offered.

Technical:
Manjula in her directional debut failed to make use of the resources at hand. The story has no novelty and further the way she pictured it is also disappointing. The usually good writing of Sai Madhav Burra is also disappointing. Ravi Yadav’s cinematography is great. The locales of Goa are well captured. Editing has been disappointing. Radhan’s music and songs are decent. Production Values are good.

Analysis:
We have seen several films in the past in the same line. The director tried to use the same with some emotions and feelings. She tried to embed nature in this story but then it did not gel well. Most of the times, the scenes are predictable and some are stretched beyond the level of acceptability. It is more like a triangular love story in the second half. But the patience of the audience is only tested with every scene. There is no soul in the story except for some random characters and scenes. Finally, it ends up as another disappointment from Sandeep Kishan.
