Live Review rating: 2.5/5
After an enjoyable first half, the graph comes down drastically in the second half. The second half of the film is completely flat with no highs or exciting moments. Just a scene or two might get some chuckles out of the audience. Other than that the second half is pretty dull. Even the twists come out as childish. The film suffers from poor production values, clueless writing in the second half, dummy heroine characterizations and no good music. The only thing that clicks is the comedy between Tharun and Abhinav in the first half. The film might appeal to a very small niche section of the urban audience but the masses and family audience will stay away from this Vijay Deverakonda production. Overall Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, at best will be an average to below-average affair at the box-office.

7:30 AM: In spite of everyone’s efforts heroine Vani discovers the leaked video herself on Tharun’s phone while taking a selfie. Tense moments going on to see if the marriage will be called off.
The second half is lacking the zing as it is turning out to be quite routine.

7:10 AM: Another twist pops up as another video uploader turns up who demands 20 lakhs to delete the video now.
7:05 AM: The second half starts with the twist that the girl in the leaked video turns out to be Tharun’s relative. The uploader is finally found and the video is deleted.
The first half of the movie is pretty decent with mainly the comedy between Tharun and Abhinav clicking very well. The only minor drawback is most of the actors are new and there might be a problem to get connected with the characters instantly. The plot is thin and runs on a single line but the comedy provided enough entertainment for the audience to enjoy the movie. If the second half maintains the same tempo then Meeku Maathrame Cheptha will click with its target audience.
