Sonali Bendre is one actress who charmed Indian cinema with her beauty but to everyone’s surprise, she retired from work in her prime. Getting married and having kids and having a reclusive life had become her order of the day. She slowly disappeared into the horizon and was even rarely seen in film functions too. But she never showed any signs of regrets from staying away from donning grease paint.
But then, she revealed a shocker of news to her fans a little while ago. From her official Twitter account, she revealed that she has been diagnosed with a High-Grade Cancer and is being treated at a hospital in Newyork. She sought the support of everyone and said she is optimistic of fighting it out.
Sonali made her Bollywood debut in 1994 with Govinda’s Aag. She went on to rule Bollywood during 90s and early 2000s, with films such as Sarfarosh, Duplicate, Major Saab, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Diljale and English Babu Desi Maam. Her song, Humma Humma, in Bombay was one of the most iconic in the 90s. She was last seen on the silver screen in 2013 Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. She is familiar to Telugu audience with films like Murari and Indra.
