Naa Nuvve Review: Wrong Destiny

Movie: Naa Nuvve

Rating: 2.25/5.0

Written and Direction: Jayendra

Behind the Screens:
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has changed his route in the recent times. The actor kept his mass image aside and opened gates for class films. He also underwent drastic makeover but is yet to score a hit after that. He has pinned all his hopes on his Naa Nuvve which is in theaters from today. Let us see how the movie fares with the audience.
Storyline:
Varun (Kalyan Ram) is on trials to get a job abroad. He gets two chances but loses both and tries once again. Later he meets Radio Jockey Meira (Tamannah) unexpectedly and feels that she is his Lucky Charm. Meira falls in love with him thinking that fate unites them. But Varun does not trust fate and the rest is all about if Varun will love Meira and the twist that is in store in their love story.
Star Shine:
Kalyan Ram is very good in his new look. Even though it is his first romantic film, he did a good job. The chemistry between him and Tamannah worked here and there. Tamannah is the major highlight of the film. She is beautiful and also performed well. Vennela Kishore, Praveen, Tanikella Bharani, Surekha Vani, and Posani Krishna Murali are good in the little roles they are offered.
Technical:

Naa Nuvve is good on Technical Front. Legendary Cinematographer PC Sreeram is excellent with the camera work, especially in the Songs. Sharath’s Music is good. Production Values are also good. Editing is not up to the mark. But then, the director, Jayendra seems to have faltered both in the writing and direction department. The story is very old and the screenplay is even routine.

Analysis:
There are several stories which revolve around Fate or Destiny. But then the concept is used once or twice but in Naa Nuvve, the film totally revolves around Destiny. So, we will not feel the surprise element. Even though it is just around Two hours, we feel it lengthy. Except for some comedy by Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi, there is nothing notable in the first half. The director tried some twists in the second half but they are also predictable. The Second Half scores a bit better than the first. But as a whole, the love story has no feel whatsoever to engross the audience. That may be another failure for Kalyan Ram.
