Nagarjuna’s officer facing Hurdles in Nizam?

Maverick Director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) and Tollywood King Nagarjuna combo has delivered blockbuster hits like ‘Shiva’, ‘Antham’  etc., 25 years ago and now again after a long gap they are teaming up to repeat the history with his forthcoming film ‘Officer’.

In recent times RGV is undergoing rough phase in his career with back to back flops and minted all hopes on ‘Officer’. It is an open fact that RGV who is known for controversies has created many hurdles to this film since the film kick start. Actually, the film is scheduled for May 25th release but due to some issues, the film will release on June 1st.

Latest news is that ‘Officer’ facing hurdles in Nizam area. According to reports, Officer screening rights sold for a fancy price in a couple of areas in Andhra Prades. But in Nizam area, no distributor has come forward to acquire the screening rights of this film.

Reports share that, ‘Officer’ theatrical rights sold out for the fancy price in Andhra Pradesh. In Krishna district – Kamashi Combines releasing the film but in Nizam, RGV- Company who is one of the producers of this film is directly releasing because distributors are not coming forward to buy the rights.

The film has zero buzzes in film Nagar circles. Nagarjuna will be seen as SIT Officer in this story based out in Mumbai. A newcomer Myra Sareen is romancing Nagarjuna in this film. Recently RGV announced that this film is based on real incidents of IPS officer K M Prasanna from Karnataka, who was appointed as the chief of a SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate a highly reputed cop in Mumbai. Currently, Mr.Prasanna is working as Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Mumbai. Watch this space for more update.
