Movie: Needi Naadi Oke Katha
Behind the Screens:
Sree Vishnu has got a decent appreciation in the family audience for his boy the next door looks. The actor is working hard and delivering good subjects but is still in search of a big commercial success. His new film, Needi Naadi Oke Katha has released today. Let us see how the movie has fared with the audience.
Sagar (Sree Vishnu) hails from a middle-class family. While his father wants him to study hard and succeed in life, Sagar struggles to complete his degree. Sagar is not at all interested in continuing his studies and the rest is how he convinces his father and manage to do something he likes.
Sree Vishnu is an apt fit for the role of an underdog who is confused a lot in his life. His performance, especially in the emotional scenes with his father, is the major highlight of the film. But then, his Chittoor slang goes awkward at times. Satna Titus came up with an okay performance but struggled with the lip sync. Director Devi Sri Prasad who played the father character is excellent. Posani is good in the limited role he is given. Rest of the characters are okay.
Director Venu Undugula came up with an excellent outing in his first film. The biggest success is the subject he chose which will connect with youth and narrated it very well. Some of the emotions have worked very well. On the flipside, the film becomes slow with same emotions repeated many times. Even though the film is made on a shoestring budget, the artwork and cinematography helped to showcase the middle class set up so well. Editing is perfect. Music is pretty decent and most songs are shot as montages. Production Values are okay.
Needi Naadi Oke Katha is an emotional family drama which is relatable to the youth and their parents. The contemporary subject is chosen and has been portrayed very well. Even though there are the issues of paces and predictability here and there, the movie is still a good watch.
