Behind the Screens

Natural Star Nani who is riding high with back to back successes has come back with yet another romantic entertainer, ‘Ninnu Kori’. The actor sounded super confident about the film during the promotions. It has to be seen if this movie will extend his success streak. Let us see how the movie, ‘Ninnu Kori’ which released today fared with the audience.

Uma/Uma Maheshwara Rao (Nani) pursue Ph.D. and then falls flat for Pallavi (Niveda Thomas). Pallavi also responds positive for him but wants to elope with him since his family is looking for matches. Uma does not agree with her and says it is not right to elope when he is yet to settle in life. He goes to Delhi and in the meanwhile, Pallavi is married to Arun (Aadi Pinnisetty). Uma becomes addict to liquor and later goes to the USA for work. He still hopes that Pallavi comes back to him. One day, she really comes and Uma thinks she came to him since she is not happy with Arun but it is not the case. What is the actual reason? What happens next in their life? forms the rest of the story.

Star Shine:

The entire story revolves around Nani, Aadi, and Niveda Thomas. All the three are a perfect fit for those roles. Niveda Thomas impressed with her beauty and acting. Nani has once again proved that he is an actor of all seasons. Aadi breathed life into the climax sequences. Prudhvi, Sudharshan, Murali Sharma, Vidyullekha Raman are good in the roles they are offered.

‘Ninnu Kori’ is a spin-off of Bollywood Hit movie, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Unlike normal triangular love stories, this story happens after marriage. ‘Life gives several chances. Give the life one chance’ is the concept of the story choosing by the new director, Shiva Nirvana. Some of the scenes were heart touching but then the trademark entertainment in Nani’s films is missing in this film. The director had given importance to the emotions. Welcoming wife’s ex boyfriend into their home concept may not be acceptable for every one. The first half of the film is good but the proceedings become slow killing the interest in the film some times. The movie may work with the urban audience especially those of Multiplexes and Overseas but difficult to survive in B and C centers.

Debut Director Shiva Nirvana who also handled the story got average marks in his first outing. Kona Venkat has handled the screenplay which is decent. The director should have focused more on Nani mark entertainment. Especially the second half runs at a slow pace. But he should be appreciated for some effective emotion sequences. Gopi Sunder’s music and Karthik Ghattamaneni’s camera work is very impressive. Dialogues at places are good. Editing is okay. Production Values are good.

Emotional romantic Entertainer which you may watch if you ignore slow pace.
