Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan’s Eid Release, ‘Tubelight’ directed by Kabir Khan has ended as a huge disaster at the box-office. The movie has just managed to collect 30-40% of the investment. Salman Khan who is also the producer of the film has now reportedly agreed to pay Rs 32.5 crore as compensation for the losses incurred by his film’s distributors.
‘Tubelight’ should have done business in the range of Rs. 250-270 crore to be called a safe venture but then its run is completed by collecting Rs.115 Crore Nett. The movie also emerged as a big failure in the Overseas Circuit. It is highly admirable that the actor has come up to save the buyers. Stars who are only keen on pocketing huge remunerations should learn something from the Superstar.
Salman Khan’s next will be ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, a highly anticipated sequel to his 2012’s blockbuster film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Being directed by his Sultan director Ali Abbas and the movie is also starring Katrina Kaif, this action film is slated for release for Christmas this year. The shooting of the movie is going on at a brisk pace. The actor and his fans pinned high hopes on the film to be back in the winning ways
