The Indian film icons got a musical tribute in Oscar 2018 awards event which was held on yesterday (Sunday) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel hosted this extravagant Event.
Indian cinema icon Shashi Kapoor and India’s first female superstar Sridevi were honored at the 90th Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles during the ‘In Memoriam’ montage.
The Indian stars got a musical tribute by Eddie Vedder who took the stage to sing Tom Petty’s ‘Room at the top’. Actress Jennifer Garner introduced the segment by paying tribute to late star Audrey Hepburn. ‘There is no joy without sorrow’, Garner said, and then acknowledged the loss of the departed souls.
Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award Indian icon, Shashi Kapoor left this world in December 2107 and the nation lost one of the most talented actresses Sridevi earlier on February 24th.
In a tribute video, the Academy remembered the film celebrities the industries lost in and around the world. They were included in the annual montage along with stars such as John Heard, Tony Anne Walker, Jane Foray, Robert Osborne, Martin Landau, Glenne Headly, Roger Moore, George A.
