Nandamuri Balakrishna and Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Paisa Vasool’ had registered a considerable dip in the second day of its release. After a decent opening day, the movie should have at least collected 70% of the first day but almost all the areas have seen collections at 50% of the first day and in some areas, they are even less. GST is also taking its toll on the film. The movie is heading towards being a disaster in the Overseas and that is not helping its cause either. The bad performance is an indication of Puri Jagannadh’s diminishing brand in the audience.
Today’s Numbers should give us an idea. The movie had registered a Pre-Release Business of Rs.32.5 Crore and the movie has to collect a minimum of Rs.32.5 Crore Share to be treated as a Hit Venture. It will be a difficult task if the same performance is continued. The movie has an open run in the first week with no other competition except for Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Arjun Reddy’ which is in its second week. Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Yuddham Sharanam’ is releasing on September, 8th. It has to be seen if this first combination of Balayya and Puri Jagannadh will be able to cheer the trade.
