Prabhu Deva after attaining stardom as choreographer, actor and director decided to pay tributes to his profession ‘Dancing’ which he loves the most. He is a two time National Best Choreography Award winner and is the most appreciated Indian film choreographer among his contemporaries. He has performed in a wide range of dancing styles and has been labeled as the Indian Michael Jackson.
He is now starring in the first ever high-octane dance film of India in 3D. It is being directed by director and ace choreographer Remo D’Souza and Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. ABCD (Any Body Can Dance) features Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya and also stars hit reality dancing event Dance India Dance winners like Dharmesh, Salman Khan, Noorin Sha, Mayuresh, Vrushali and Prince all essaying central characters.
Central theme of the film is as follows. Heartbroken Vishnu (Prabhu Deva) who after being thrown out of his own Swish Dance Academy by his greedy business partners, decides to leave Mumbai city forever. However he has a change of mind after being witness to a group of dancers training strenuously to win Ganpati Dance Battle – an annual festival that pits Mumbai’s best dance groups against each other. Vishnu decides to train this young talented but egoistic bunch of people, to win the prestigious competition.
