Prakash Raj won’t vote if stars turn politicians

Talented actor Prakash Raj has been ‘removed’ from branding contracts following pressure from right-wing forces. His commercial advertisements were recently blocked from being aired as his name was involved in a controversy. However, Celebrities being blocked is not new to industry earlier Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan too faced the similar situation.

Prakash Raj opened up on this issue in a recent media interaction. He said, “The Company has said they are standing by me, but this is the situation we are all faced with because we are asking questions and not keeping quiet.”

He also said that he has a lot of respect for superstars Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Kannada actor Upendra as artists. But it doesn’t mean he will vote for them if they turned as politicians. He also added that he never accept anyone as political leaders due to their fame.

Earlier Prakash Raj has faced a lot of trolling, online abuse and threats after he questioned PM Narendra Modi’s silence over the murder of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh. Prakash Raj also referred to BJP MP Pratap Simha’s comments against him after he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the same issue. However, we have to wait and see where this issue will go on.
