Mozart of Madras, Rahman spellbound all with his stunning live performance at 2012 Oscars. AR perfomred live last year and he once again awed the world viewers with his extraordinary talent. Rahaman invited all his fans posting on twitter "Oscar sangamam – If you are watching the Oscars live, catch our Oscar superband headed by Hans Zimmer perform tonight," along with his group’s photo.At the 84th Academy Awards, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ composer Hans Zimmer was the show`s musical consultant with Pharell Williams.

The performances at the ceremony included Esperanza Spalding`s rendition of Louis Armstrong`s `What a Wonderful World` as a tribute to the dozens of entertainment industry professionals who died in the last 12 months, including Jane Russell, Whitney Houston, Elizabeth Taylor and Etta James.There was also an interlude from Cirque du Soleil. The circus gymnasts took on an old-school cinema theme, performing backflips in bell-boy outfits, cocktail dresses and tuxedos.

Last year he AR thrilled all with his tracks  tracks from the film `127 Hours’. His performance bought tears in the eyes of Indian contingent. The 46-year-old composer, won two Oscars in 2009 for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. It was dream come true for many of his young troup members when they performed with the German Orchestra in a spectacle of a show. The musicians were a part of the choir group that performed a Tribute show for Oscar winner AR Rahman.
