Superstar Rajinikanth’s Next in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj has completed a month-long schedule in Darjeeling and is back in Tamil Nadu. The next schedule will begin very soon in Madurai. Sources in Kollywood say this is yet another don film for Rajinikanth. According to the sources, the Superstar will be seen as a Hostel warden during the day and a dreaded don during the nights in the film, we are told.
Directed by Pizza fame Karthik Subbaraj, the movie will be produced by A Mammoth Production and will be presented by Kalanithi Maran on Sun Pictures Banner. Vijay Sethupathi is playing the antagonist in the film. Simran is finalized as the female lead in the movie. Bollywood’s Talented Actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing a crucial role in this yet to be titled film.
Karthik Subbaraj who is famous for his 2012 low-budget thriller Pizza which was a commercial success later delivered three flops including his latest film, Mercury. Getting to direct Rajinikanth is the biggest chance for the young director and it has to be seen how he makes use of this opportunity. On the other side, Rajinikanth recently announced a foray into politics. He is looking to exploit the Vacuum in Tamil Nadu Political Space post the sudden demise of Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. But then the young director already revealed that there will be no political flavor in his film.
