After “Endhiran/Robot” created a new record in Superstar Rajini’s career, the fans of the actor have yet another reason to rejoice. If sources are to be believed the makers of the film “Enthiran/Robot” have come out with yet another new way of reaching out across to fans across the globe. The buzz is that the costumes worn by Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the Kilimanjaro song, O Baby and few other memorabilia from the movie will be auctioned online and the proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to charity.
However, this is not a new phenomenon, at least not for Rajinikanth. Earlier Rajinikanth’s accessories and memorabilia from a huge blockbuster “Chandramukhi”, were auctioned through a website. The ‘Blue Kurta’ and the ‘Vettayan’ king’s costumes worn by Rajinikanth were grabbed for a huge amount as soon as the bidding began. Even Nayanthara and Jyotika’s costumes and Jewellery fetched a good price.
This trend is gaining momentum in Tollywood too when Jr NTR’s hat and jerkin used in “Adurs” were auctioned. This was followed by Ram Charan’s “Maghadeera” sword and then Sunil’s “Maryada Ramanna” Bi-cycle and more recently Balakrishna’s axe in “Simha”.
