Vinaya Vidheya Rama is Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s out and out mass film after a very long time. He is teaming with Star Mass Director Boyapati Srinu for the film and the Promotional Material indicates that it will be a treat to the masses. Let us see how Vinaya Vidheya Rama is received by the audience:
Five Brothers (Prashanth, Aryan Rajesh, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma, Ram Charan) form a beautiful family. Ram Konidela is the youngest and is loved by all. He loves his family a lot. Ram’s Elder Brother (Prashanth) is Vishakapatnam Election Commissioner and he locks horns with Pandem Parasuram (Mukesh Rishi) in a By-Election. Pandem Parasuram targets Ram Family and brings in Munnabhai (Vivek Oberoi) from Bihar for this purpose. What happens next in the family forms the rest.
. Star Shine:
Ram Charan’s character has different shades – Family Drama, Love, Fun, and a Fighter but Boyapati chose to elevate only the fighter. Ram Charan is seen at easy while performing and it is clearly the effect of his previous film, Rangasthalam. His hard work is evident with the Six Pack Body. Kiara Advani is beautiful but gets an insignificant character. Prashanth, Aryan Rajesh, Madhunandan, Ravi Varma did justice to their roles. Vivek Oberoi is good as a baddie. His character is elevated equally to that of the hero in the Second Half.
Vinaya Vidheya Rama is Boyapati Srinu’s Weakest Work so far. He picked up a wafer-thin story and tried to stuff it with high voltage action and commercial elements. At one stage, we do not see it as a story but a showreel of various action sequences he envisioned with Ram Charan. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs are not up to the mark. Even the background score is also disappointing except in a couple of places. Dialogues will woo the masses. Editing is okay. Camera work by two cinematographers – Rishi Punjabi and Arthur A Wilson is good. Production Values are Grand.
Vinaya Vidheya Rama has a passable first half with a couple of good songs and the heroism elevating episodes which will please the fans and masses. A comedy track of Hema is also decent. The interval block is fine but the film dips into trouble in the second half. The story is mostly confined in the second half but then without allowing the audience to connect to that, there is senseless violence in the name of mass. Action Sequences keep coming one after the other without any reason. There are also logicless scenes like Hero going to Bihar standing on a train, Snake getting killed after biting the villain, etc. Finally, Vinaya Vidheya Rama is easily a forgettable film for Ram Charan, Boyapati, and fans.
