It looks like Tollywood tall hunk Rana Daggubati has fallen in love with periodic Films. Already the actor acted in period films like Rudramadevi, Baahubali, and Ghazi. Now the actor who currently working on a period film, titled 1945 has signed one more periodic Drama which was coming under the direction of K. Madhu.
Madhu is going to retell the glory of Marthanda Varma, the famous king of Travancore who belonged to the 18th Century A.D in this film. Seven arts Mohan is the line producer on the film and it is written by Robin Thirumala. The pre-production activities are currently going on and the regular shoot will commence soon after Rana completes his current commitments.
Rana Daggubati who was exited has shared this news on Twitter, he tweeted “Anizham thirunal Marthanda Varma- the King of Travancore” is the character I tell a story as soon. Preproduction in progress.”
Apart from these films Rana also signed a film in Gunasekhar’s direction which will narrate the life history of Hiranyakashipu.
On the other hand, Rana Daggubati’s 1945 is progressing at a rapid pace and it is a Pre-Partition era film. Rana plays a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army). The drama unfolds at the height of Indian freedom movement. Playing the female lead is actor Regina, who will appear in the role of a Chettiar girl, engaged to marry Rana’s character.
