A news came out a few weeks ago that because of the pressure from social activists from the right wing, the Government of India is considering to arrange a censor board for digital content streaming on OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Numerous popular digital media channels and film makers like opposed this idea of keeping restrictions for the digital content on their respective channels.
Now, the latest update is that the Indian government has withdrawn the idea of censoring the content available on online streaming platforms. An official confirmation has come out this morning regarding the same from the office of Information and Broadcasting desk.
The news is a big relief for all the streaming digital channels and also the viewers who enjoy unabashed uncensored content on these platforms.
