Behind Screens

RDX Love is one film that has garnered so much attention in recent times due to the spicy promotional material featuring Payal Rajput. The movie has released today in the theaters and lets us see how the audience receives it in the theaters.

Story:

Alivelu (Payal Rajput) is an activist who promotes awareness about HIV, Population Control, etc. and there is our hero (Tejas) in the village who always teases her and tries to impress her. But then, Alivelu uses him to get a meeting set up with the Chief Minister. Who is Alivelu, and what is the motive behind her trying to meet the Chief Minister? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

As the promotions of the film indicate, the movie is totally centered around Payal Rajput. She lives up to all the expectations with extreme glamour show. Coming to the Performance part, there is a little scope for her, and in whatever she is offered, she is decent. Tejas is okay. Aditya Menen, who plays the main villain, has come up with good performance as a media owner. Bapineedu is fine as the Chief Minister. Naresh, Tulasi, and others are fine.

Technical:

Director Shankar Bhanu is the biggest culprit behind this debacle. He chose a silly point for the film and coupled it with routine and cringe-worthy narration and scenes. Moreover, too much focus on the skin show of Payal irritates. Various tracks keep coming every now and then without purpose. The camera work of the film is excellent. Especially the village side sequences are nicely captured. Radhan came up with decent songs and background score. There is absolutely nothing like Editing in the film.

Analysis:

The first half of the film is dull, and there is absolutely no substance. The director is fully focused on the skin show and double meaning dialogues. The story begins only ten minutes before the interval. The second half is further irritating with several horrible scenes. Even the serious sequences look outright silly. A good duration of the film should have been chopped to make it bearable. Finally, RDX Love do not serve any purpose except for a section of masses who like the glamour show of the heroines.
