Run Movie Review

Movie : Run

Rating : 1/5

Director : Lakshmikanth Chenna

Behind the Scenes:

Run starring Navdeep is the first OTT Telugu Original film. It is made for the web and is being streamed on Allu Aravind’s Aha Streaming Platform. It was produced by Director Krish father’s First Frame Entertainment Banner. Let us see how the audience will like the film.

Sandeep (Navdeep) is a happily married man. His life turns upside down right on his first marriage anniversary when his wife (Pujitha Ponnada) commits suicide and he is accused of murder. With six other suspects and endless mystery, who really killed her? forms the rest.

Navdeep has got a chance to be a hero after a long time. He seems to have improved a lot and tried to deliver his best at this opportunity. There are areas which can be improved. Pujitha Ponnada has got a very little role. Amit Tiwari and Venkat are the only significant characters in the story and they are okay. There are some small but known artists. They did what they are supposed to do.

Technical Performances:

Kannada Director Lakshmikanth Chenna has directed Run. In the initial portions of the film, he showed a lot of promise but loses track very soon. In a bid to showcase something novel, he confused himself and the audience. Music by Naresh Kumaran is effective. Camera work by Sajeesh Rajendran is too good for a OTT film. Editing should have been better in the second half. Production Values are good.

The first half of the film’s first part engrosses the audience and the good things of the movie ends there. As the story deepens, we feel that director overdid in a bid to showcase something new. But then, we only keep disconnecting. The Pre-Climax and the climax are the final nails in the coffin.
