The Mumbai Metropolitan Court has exempted Bollywood actor Salman Khan from appearing personally before the court in 2002 hit and run case. The actor who is celebrating his 47th Birthday as made application by his lawyer Dipesh Mehta on the ground that the High court had already granted him permanent exemption. The court has asked Salman to appear personally and answer the charges of the case he however denied the charges and sought dismissal of the complaint. The complainant Santosh Daundkar alleged that the trial in the case in which one person was killed and four others were injured when actor’s car rammed into a bakery at Bandra was delayed by four years because he was busy in the movies. The court has the police to file a reply and the case has posted on January 30.
